Pacific North Fresh is a wildly fun group of skaters mostly from the Pacific Northwest! We also have a few friends from Texas and California. We’re new to Jantastic but we’ve all been skating for years and are excited to compete against the best!

Team Captain: Tara Hoedown
Ride or die derby pretty much sums it up. This isn’t a lifestyle, it’s life. Over the last 8 years I’ve done it all: a veteran home team and all-star skater for Tilted Thunder Rail Birds, league coach, RollerCon coach, and a fearless leader. I’m excited to lead this team of awesome skaters into battle and have a ton of fun. Can’t wait to rep the PNW (and friends!) in Jantastic! Photo: Danny Ngan

The Super Sweet Banked Team was formed in 2016 to take on the undefeated perennial powerhouse, My Little Ponies, at RollerCon X. Having newly added the banked track to the convention for their 10 year anniversary, the timing was candy-coated for the unveiling of this new mixed super team donning gold shimmer and sparkles. Later shortened to Super Sweet, the team is a mix of top tier skaters from highly ranked banked and flat track programs all over the United States.
This powerhouse team, affectionately known as the Sweeties, has only faced one opponent and emerged victorious in both battles. With a 2-0 record after their two-time wins over the Jantastic reigning champs, Super Sweet is ready to take it to the bank and battle for the trophy against new and formidable opponents.
These bitraxual skaters are excited to soak up the sunshine in San Diego and play at the highest level of banked track roller derby. They may be dressed in gold sparkle, but don’t let their sugary appearance fool you. They have a sweet tooth for WINNING and are ready to leave with the sweetest prize of all, the Jantastic Invitational trophy.
Super Sweet Captain Biography

She is a powerful blocker with fancy footwork who enjoys the finer things in life, including glitter, donuts, and Coca-Cola. She is excited to lead Team Super Sweet at Jantastic in 2018! Team Bitraxual is an all-star team of skaters with high-level banked track experience, and most have derby dual citizenship! We play for the love of the sport, but don’t think that makes us any less competitive! Name your surface, we’ll play some roller derby.

Team Not So Ancient Aliens proposes that alien visitations have occurred around the globe, and cites as evidence various records of current abductions, visitations and other conspiracies. Our teammates were given galactic knowledge by a star god; the Visitor from Orion’s Belt (or “being from the sky”) is symbolized with a headdress that is said to resemble a modern Derby helmet; and we hold in our possession ancient text that the Time Traveler was a Jammer who came to Earth on a unicorn which is suggested to have been a metaphor for a spaceship. We come to take over…..one jam at a time.
