Slamurai began Derby Doll boot camp in March of 2007. She became an official Derby Doll a few months later and was invited to skate with the Diego Rollers and played as a blocker as well as a jammer. She was officially rostered as a Diego Roller in 2008. Slamurai was invited to skate with the All-stars later that year and began focusing on blocking. She has skated for the Swarm since the formation of the team in January of 2009. She currently skates for the Swarm and the Wildfires and will be playing for Team Japan in the Roller Derby World Cup in Dallas in December of 2014.

Biography

Slamurai began Derby Doll boot camp in March of 2007. She became an official Derby Doll a few months later and was invited to skate with the Diego Rollers and played as a blocker as well as a jammer. She was officially rostered as a Diego Roller in 2008. Slamurai was invited to skate with the All-stars later that year and began focusing on blocking. She has skated for the Swarm since the formation of the team in January of 2009. She currently skates for the Swarm and the Wildfires and will be playing for Team Japan in the Roller Derby World Cup in Dallas in December of 2014.

Slamurai has earned the Up and Comer award in 2007, Fan Favorite and Best Butt That You Can’t Get Around in 2008, Best Offensive and Defensive Blocker in 2009, and Best Blocker in 2010 and 2011. She was injured in the latter part of 2012, but returned for the 2013 season and received awards for Best Blocker, Most Feared, and Triple Threat.
